Once the historic Robert Reiner Embroidery Factory, the building was transformed into boutique industrial lofts in 2008.
Located a stone’s throw from Manhattan, the building offers a unique mix of vintage character and contemporary style.
The design vision was clear: Create a living space that felt happy and colorful, while seamlessly infusing all the collections and art.

“Growing up in Asia, combined with my husband’s Portuguese heritage, has deeply influenced our approach to art and design.”
The loft is filled with treasures collected from art galleries and local markets around the world. Each piece was chosen instinctively, creating a home that feels personal, layered, and reflective of our journey. “We pick what we’re naturally drawn to,” the homeowners explain.

An authentic Kimono adorns the wall adjacent to the dining area, while a modern glass chandelier hangs over a Parson style table.
A custom velvet sectional is situated to take advantage of the spectacular Manhattan skyline, but also serves as a spot to gather and entertain.
