Mallorca, Spain
Our first stop after landing in Palma, was 2 hours north to the tiny town of Deià - and checked into the magical La Residencia hotel. Our room was decorated with the locally weaved Ikat fabrics, and had a distant view of the sea.
“For centuries, La Residencia has been a place of spiritual connection for writers, artists and musicians, firmly establishing its enduring bohemian spirit nestled in the Tramuntana mountains.”
After a magical few days, we headed north to the hotel Son Brull, located in the heart of the Serra de Tramuntana. Surrounded by 32 hectares of vineyards, orchards and centuries-old olive trees, just 2 km from the town of Pollença and 6 km from the sea.
Originally this hotel was an historic 18th century monastery. The quiet spaces, majestic views, and exquisite cuisine was unparalleled. This mid way stop was a perfect way to recharge and truly relax.
Our final stay was truly spectacular. The Cap Rocat hotel was originally a fortress built for the surveillance of the Bay of Palma. Now, it is a modern oasis that checks every box. The spa was incredible, and the views and cuisine even better. But the best part was meeting up with my half sister and her husband… we had so much fun jumping into the sea and sipping wine. I can’t wait to go back..
