Jaipur
I felt like I had landed on another planet when arriving into New Delhi. The air was foggy and smelled of smoke - the pollution was so bad I had to wear a mask. I spent the night at a hotel near the airport before the 4 hour drive to Jaipur the next morning.
Our first day in Jaipur involved visiting blockprint fabric houses where I was able to select fabrics for my next Jetset collection.
This was just one floor of 4. It is overwhelming to say the least!
We visited the Pink Palace, had a lovely lunch on the terrace of the Samode Haveli Hotel, and then visited a factory that can eventually make larger quantities of Jetsets ™ .
The rest of the group arrived later that day, so we toured Jaipur in rickshaws (owned and operated by women who have survived domestic abuse) and gathered for a welcome dinner in the courtyard.
We went to Villa Palladio, a temple for a special ceremony, the Stepwater, Great Fort, and so much more
